The ISO 10648-2 standard

A pioneer in tightness standards

In the 1970s, Jacomex was behind the introduction of ISO 10648-2, the only internationally recognised standard that classifies containment systems according to their tightness. ​

We also designed and manufactured the CEA-licensed Oxyfuit3 device, which enables containment vessels to be tested in compliance with the standard.​

Cultivating excellence in containment, Jacomex certifies all its glove boxes to the highest level of the standard: class 1.
