New project: new PureMod glove box

We’re delighted to share that a PureMod glovebox has just been installed at Leiden University in the Netherlands!

Configuration highlights:

  • Modular glovebox equipped with a Core10 purification unit
  • Anti-vibration granite base to support a high-precision AFM
  • O₂ and H₂O analyzers for optimal purity control
  • Mini vacuum transfer chamber for safe sample handling

This setup enhances their existing Pure glovebox, already used for assembling ultra-thin 2D materials.

The goal? Precisely stacking 2D layers to build complex 3D structures in an ultra-clean environment. This method plays a key role in advanced materials science projects, with applications in semiconductors, quantum computing, and more.

Big congratulations to the Universiteit Leiden team for their cutting-edge research, and a special thank you to Walter Mulders for the great installation work!
